ASF—The American Scandinavian Foundation - is the leading cultural and educational link between the U.S. and Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. An American non-profit organization, the ASF works to build international understanding with an extensive program of fellowships, grants, intern/traniee sponsorship, publishing and membership offerings. The ASF is headquartered in New York City at Scandinavia House, a public forum presenting a wide range of exhibitions, films, concerts, lectures, symposia and family programs.
 ASS—The American Scandinavian Society of New York is a Pan-Scandinavian membership organization devoted to bring educational, artistic and musical events with a Nordic flair to the Metropolitan Area. Among other benefits it offers grants to the arts.

NAHA—The Norwegian American Historical Association - is a membership organization dedicated to locating, collecting, preserving, and interpreting the Norwegian-American experience with accuracy, integrity and liveliness. It publishes a year book of history and sponsors other literary endeavors.
 Norwegians Worldwide seeks to strengthen cultural and personal ties between Norway and Norwegians abroad, as well as their descendants and friends of Norway throughout the world. We have members and chapters around the world. Membership is open to all persons.

It is the purpose of the Norwegian-American 17th of May Committee of Greater New York, Inc. to encourage and develop a deep appreciation of the ideals of independence and freedom that the 17th of May and Norway’s Constitution signifies by holding an annual celebratory parade in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York, on the Sunday closest or otherwise most appropriate to the 17th of May”
DATE OF PARADE: MAY 20, 2012 TIME: 1:30 P.M. PLACE: Bay Ridge, Brooklyn Steps off at 1:30 p.m. rain or shine, and proceeds north along Fifth Avenue to 67th Street, turning right to pass the reviewing stand on the south side of Leif Ericson Park.
